On this episode, Alex and Mary review the Darlington weekend, Alex calls Mary crazy for a potential counter curse towards one of the most infamous curses in racing today, and Mary thinks Denny Hamlin is a racist & should be banned from NASCAR.

After Chase Elliott's win at Dover, Alex (a Chase Elliott fan) decides to spend an episode laughing at all the Twitter trolls about Chase Elliott winning on an oval. He and Mary also discuss Barber as well as Zoom's stupid new decision to only allow 40-minute calls if you have the free version. There was supposed to be a hot seat this week, but the interview was not processed correctly because the folder was deleted before the file processed.

Talladega produced a result that neither Alex nor Mary saw coming. That's all there is to say

Alex & Mary review the Bristol dirt weekend, which was not exactly what was expected or wanted.

A very bizarre Martinsville weekend has left everyone bewildered with the racing, apparently, not being up to the expectations of the fans... although Mary thinks otherwise. Other things are also discussed concerning Martinsville, Long Beach, & a lot of concerns regarding divas in NASCAR, Jimmie Johnson's hand, Joe Gibbs Racing's existence, NASCAR's hatred of Brad Keselowski, & Truck Series cockpit fires.  

Also this is the week that we'd have a special guest co-host for Mary with Alex on vacation...

Alex and Mary review Mary's home track of Richmond. With Joe Gibbs Racing drivers sweeping the weekend, a debate about what makes a race exciting was initiated. Alex and Mary also discuss a topic that has now affected a current driver in NASCAR, prompting a conversation Mary once again did not want to revisit...again.

COTA was good and the new car was essentially a reset for the Cup Series. Aside from that being discussed, a story of perseverance, courage, and recovery is told as former NASCAR Cup Series winner Jerry Nadeau stops by. Nadeau talks about his NASCAR career and talks about how he wouldn't have changed a thing about his career or how it played out and he also talks about the ups and downs of his career, including his near-fatal, career ending crash at Richmond in 2003, which Mary was in attendance for, but did not see.

Atlanta disappointed Mary and Texas disappointed Alex. There might be changes that need to be made to the schedules, but maybe not. Today, opinions are shared, and people complain to an extent.

This past race weekend was not a total bust because there were some interesting things that happened. Alex was not prepared at all for this episode and Mary enjoyed every second of it. Alex also needs to start looking at the IndyCar schedule.

Ryan Newman stopped by Pastimes to talk with Alex about his racing career and his future. It's a little bit of a rushed episode today because Alex had some other obligations to take care of. He and Mary talk about Vegas and there will be no picks this week because of how limited the time was to record.
