God sees a picture of our lives we don't see. We are called to trust God as God guides us through our lives. King David from the Old Testament was regularly challenged with obstacles and yet through thick and thin he chose to trust in the Lord. May we learn to trust through every circumstance.

Proverbs says that the beginning of all wisdom is to trust God. Trust does not come easily for us and needs to be cultivated. We need to know that God is trustworthy but luckily God has gone to great lengths to prove that. If we want to have godly wisdom, we'll need to cultivate a trust in God.

The relationship humans were created to have with their creator was one of trust. The origin story of that relationship shows that we broke trust and the ramifications of that play out the rest of scripture. This week we'll explore what it means to have a relationship of trust with our creator.

Jesus abandons teaching in the temple and moves across the Kidron Valley to the Mt. of Olives. In clear view of the Temple Jesus continues to teach about God's coming plans.

Tuesday of Holy Week Jesus goes back to the Temple to teach. He continues to push back against the hypocrisy and corruption he sees in the religious institutions of his day. The leaders ask him questions to trap him.

This week we are doing a shortened week of reflections due to Holy Week services, but we'll be looking at what Jesus did on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of Holy Week. Today we see Jesus clear the Court of Gentiles in the Temple Mount of sellers and money changers.

The word "Passion" comes from the Latin translation of the Greek word "Pathos" which means suffering. The idea of suffering in waiting is not one we easily receive but if we follow in the footsteps of Jesus, we may be called to suffer in his name. Next week we celebrate Holy Week, or "Passion Week", and focus on the Passion Narratives of the Gospels. In what ways can we learn from Jesus' suffering to endure the times of suffering we face?

We don't wait for God in apathy or unpreparedness. Like a bride or groom waiting for their future spouse, we wait for perfect union with our savior one day. While we wait that unity becomes more and more realized in our daily lives. We contemplate this idea for the reflection today.
