Matthew 4:12-23
This was meant to be about the gratitude I have for the privilege of continuing the work of gathering among the faithful, then I watched the video of a man getting murdered in MN. I still need to believe that these sacraments matter, but this sermon is a plea for the people of God to show it to me. Preaching the gosepl is part of my job, but right now I'm in desparate need of hearing and seeing it. 

Matthew 3:13-17
The baptism of Jesus is a model for what we can trust from god in our own baptisms. You are a child of God.

Luke 2:1-20
This sermon looks at what the incarnation says about the value of the time we spend in this life on earth and makes the claim that the risk of living is worth it.

Matthew 1:18-25
This sermon Looks at Joseph's acceptance of the Angels command to take Mary as his wife and raise the baby Jesus and asks what it says to those of us who may feel like we are no longer an important part of the story.

Matthew 11:2-11
When John's disciples ask Jesus if he is the one, Jesus tells them to tell John what they have seen. This sermon looks at how that is the soul of true evangelism.

Matthew 24:36-44
Jesus description of the coming of the Son of Man is not a rapture proof text. It's actually the opposite of the rapture. This sermon looks at why that is important.

Luke 23:33-43
On Christ the King Sunday we read about Jesus on the Cross. This sermon looks at the nature of the cross and suffering in regards to the reign of Christ.

Luke 6:20-31
As we read Jesus's List of Blessings and Woes, this sermon tries to keep in mind that baptism, not death, is the entrance right into God's Kingdom.

Luke 18:1-8
This sermon looks at Jesus's parable about the need to pray and not lose hope. What is important in the parable and what is unimportant.

Luke 17:5-10
When Jesus says his apostles say "we are worthless slaves" it is important to both understand that he is not saying that, and why so much is expected of them. They, like us are beloved. If the gospel ever makes you doubt that, you're reading it wrong.
