Acts 3. I wasn’t sure what to call this message. My first thought was “Walking in the Spirit” then I thought “What’s in Your Wallet” but after reading a little more I came up with “Don’t Be Looking at Me”. So I decided to make these three my sermon topics. Listen in I think you’ll enjoy.

I’m not trying to take away any of the efforts displayed by the Disciples. But truly, it’s all from the gift Jesus said God would send. That’s why He had to return to God, so the Holy Spirit could come. This is the difference maker in our lives. The Holy Spirit is more important than you can ever know.

The title of the book of Acts comes from the Greek word praxis, a word often used in early Christian literature to describe the great deeds of the apostles or other significant believers. This title accurately reflects the contents of the book, which is a series of vignettes chronicling the lives of key apostles (especially Peter and Paul) in the decades limmediately following Christ’s ascension into heaven. It’s truly the Holy Spirit that’s really at work here through mankind. Luke’s identification as the author of this work was unquestioned throughout ancient times. It shows a clear progression from the gospel according to Luke, picking up just where that book left off. Here’s a sample.

The Gospel of John chapter 21. This is where John ends; I call it The Peter Dilemma. We all suffer with this same dilemma. We deny Christ by our actions then we feel guilty and unworthy to be His disciple. Jesus breaks us down so He can build us up.

We’re almost to the end. Today John 20. There’s a lot to talk about here. Like why John thinks Jesus loves him the most and how Peter must have really felt to think the Jesus he denied 3 times may be alive. I know he did not want to face Him.

But most of all Jesus lives!! Everything else is a side story to this...

It’s so important we understand how much it cost. It’s hard to look at, it’s hard for me to talk about. But this I know, John was there, he is telling us the truth, first hand.

I should have named this one. How about “ How Badly Have You Messed Up” for me all the time. I know the story is about Jesus, but Peter, he has away about him.

This one is special to me. Jesus is praying just before He is to be arrested. Please pay close attention your in there.
