One word from the Lord changed Peter's life. How did he receive it? By faith. All he did was believe the word. In the same way, just one word from the Lord can change YOUR life.

"But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." (Luke 5:5)

God has appointed certain moments in your life to His appointment book. For Abraham, it was the promised son Isaac being conceived. Timing. This weekend I will be teaching about waiting on God's timing, trusting Him, and knowing this: your promise is coming, your victory is coming, your time is coming! Your part is to trust God and to wait. Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength... #godsperfecttiming

It's easy to be happy when everything is good, but our weapon, our distinguishing characteristic, is that we, as a people, are not moved by what we see. We keep our eyes fixed on the unseen, eternal things. All this mess... it's just temporary, and joy is your weapon. #joyisyourweapon

In tough times--times of need--God raises up people who the world might call average or low, broken, useless, or rejected. He finds a hero where others see ordinary, ungifted, not talented, too young, or too old; God sees them and raises them up to alter the trajectory of history, to impact the world around them, and to turn things around for themselves, a community, even a nation. God has already chosen you to be the hero of your story. You aren't ordinary. With Him, you are extraordinary!

Jesus won! He battled sin, and He won. He battled poverty, and He won. He battled sickness and disease, and He won. He has battled loss, grief, a spirit of heaviness, death and the grave, Satan, evil and darkness, discouragement, regret, shame... and HE WON! He won, and it's done. This week I will be talking about how it is WON and DONE.

What you think about matters in your life. The Word says, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." (Philippians 4:8) Start thinking at a higher level!

There is a place you can turn to when no one else has an answer, and that is Jesus. He is our safety in the storm, our canopy, and our shield.

Our "can'ts" in life hold us back. The truth is, where we can't, Jesus can. We often don't know who we are because we don't know who He is. You see, we are who He is. This weekend we will explore who Jesus is and find out that because He can, we can!

When Jesus said, "Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them," He was talking about the Holy Spirit. Everything you need is in the river. In His waters, you are amply supplied--the river is within you.
