Last time we saw in Tit 2:3 that older women were to teach what is good and encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible [sophron = sober minded, temperate], pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, and all so that the word of God may not be dishonored.

Despite our sinfulness and ignorance as believers, the Lord waits for us as He calls to us through experiences and even discipline. We do the same thing with our kids. It takes them a long time to get it, and some never do, but we wait on them, all the while instructing, warning, training, disciplining, knowing that it will take a while for them to see it for themselves. Parents or guardians do this imperfectly, but God does it perfectly.
