Prayer isn't a technique we master or another task to check off our list. It's a lifelong relationship with God that grows through consistency, trust, and faithfulness. Can patriotism become idolatry? And what happens when Christianity becomes a tool for political power?

In this message, Pastor Mark Reynolds confronts Christian nationalism and argues that it fundamentally conflicts with the way of Jesus. Loving your country isn’t the problem. The danger comes when national identity becomes sacred, political opponents become enemies, and Christianity is used to gain power and impose one group’s vision on everyone else.

Drawing from the prophet Amos and the teachings of Jesus, Mark explores the difference between patriotism and nationalism and offers a radically different vision of power—one shaped by service, love of neighbor, justice, and the Kingdom of God.

Why do we still struggle even when we sincerely want to change and trust God? In Romans 7–8, Paul reminds us that struggle is not evidence that grace has failed. When old patterns return, life overwhelms us, or we don’t even know how to pray, the Spirit meets us in our weakness. God doesn’t promise that we will never struggle. God promises that we will never struggle alone.

If grace changes us, why do we still struggle with the same fears, habits, and destructive patterns?

Receiving grace isn’t the end of our transformation. It’s the beginning of a new way of life.
