The purpose of church is to help us become mature and equipped so that we will grow up into Jesus. We must have our minds renewed and transformed so that when the world looks at us they see Jesus. During this process we will undergo trials and tribulations. Sometimes we will have to praise our way through these and other times we will have to speak the word the Lord gives us.

Where is the real church?

Let your heart be at ease and rest in the arms of Jesus. He's perfecting you. He's working on you. Be patient with yourself. Relax and you'll see the Glory of God revealed in your life.

The first covenant, the law, was performance based. If you did good, you received good. If you did bad, you received bad. The sacrifices of animals had to be made continually and still only the outward person was cleansed. It did nothing for the inward person. Jesus came to fulfill the first covenant and establish the second covenant of grace. Because of His one and only sacrifice we have been forever redeemed. His blood cleanses us from the inside out. The penalty of sin is no longer attached to us. We are free!

The Gospel must permeate our lives. Jesus should so consume us that we are transformed spirit - soul - body to look and act like Him. When we spend time in prayer and study of the Word of God, we are armed for battle. Our spirit is strengthened, our soul is at peace, and our bodies can rest.

We will all experience trials and tribulations in this life. Don't suffer through them alone. Don't allow the enemy to sequester you so that you only hear his words. Call for prayer backup. Study the word. Spend time in prayer. Let Jesus give you the power and strength to fight! It's time for your backup.
