In order for temptation to be valid two things must be true. There must be both a desire and the ability to fulfill a promise given. Satan will offer us counterfeit versions of the legitimate desires that God has given us. Although these counterfeits are quick and easy to obtain, the price the enemy exacts for them is much too high. Don't submit to Satan's authority. Don't forsake your destiny in God by following a short cut that leads to sin and shame. Know who you are, and hold fast to the promises of God.

The scriptures tell us that as followers of Christ we will be hated by some without a cause. Don't compromise who you are. Don't forsake your salvation. Don't forsake your calling. Stand firm. Put on your armor and prepare for the battle against the need to be liked.

Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us. While we wait on His return, we need to stay where He has placed us. Deceivers will come and try to lead you astray. Don't let them. Know the voice of Jesus, and flee from the Strange Voices.

What happens in a pot that continues to heat up over time? Sooner or later it will reach the boiling point. Our culture is like that pot. It's currently under great pressure from the fires of change. A storm is coming that will change the world forever. The Light of Christ is already shining in the mist of darkness. Jesus is coming! We must be ready.

Don't let the enemy cage you. Don't let him shut down your gift. Jesus has given you the power to put your foot on the enemy's neck. You are no longer bound. You are free. So stay free and get out of the ditch (those mental ruts that bind us).

Jesus' sacrifice on the cross delivered us from the power of sin and the penalty of sin. Don't let sin control you. Don't live your life trying to pay a debt that has already been paid. Instead let the grace of God abound in your life.

Adam's sin brought judgment on us all. Jesus' act of righteousness made new life available to us all. We just have to chose it. Sin still crouches at the door waiting for the opportunity to pounce. It wants to control you. Don't let it. Gain the strength you need to subdue it through the knowledge of the truth.

Fear, condemnation, and shame for sin will keep us from God. It creates a barrier and prevents us from achieving intimacy with God. The work of the cross removed that barrier. Now we can fully see Him and be transformed into His image. When we focus on sin that barrier returns. Instead of seeing Jesus and flowing freely in His love and grace, we become yet again bound by the death that the law brings.

God gave Moses the law to show His people their sin and the death that it would bring. Jesus came and did the work necessary to redeem us from this death. His sacrifice allows us to live under Grace. Now, instead of dwelling under the hopelessness of sin, we can look to Jesus and live. We can focus on Him and be transformed.
