The disciples of John asked Jesus a question, "Why don't your disciples fast"? There question was very presumptuous to say the least. They as well as the Pharisees assumed they had a correct and proper form of Godliness that all should observe. So they thought to challenge Jesus with this question since His disciples did not fast. How did Jesus answer and what happened next will inspire and encourage you to live a fasted life.
