God calls us all to build His kingdom in His way, the building process of the Christian Faith must be without compromise. Nehemiah 13:1-14 gives us a good understanding of what Nehemiah had to deal with, and his unwillingness to compromise the faith.

Nehemiah Chapter 12 gives us good reason to celebrate, in fact Christians today have more to celebrate than anyone else.

Nehemiah Chapter 10 gives us a few unifiers of the covenant faith. In examining this chapter1. Spread a unified message versus a competing message we will be able to...
2. Engage the enemy in a coordinated way versus fighting with one another.
3. Defend the faith together versus defending ourselves.
4. Build a lasting legacy for the generations to come versus expending our godly heritage on ourselves.
5.  2 Peter 1:5-7 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

A repentant nation demands God's word from the pulpit. It demands to be poured into so that National Virtue is poured out to the next generation.

In this chapter, the people desire to have the word of God read to them. This is the nature of revival, the people desire the Word (the Word made flesh is Jesus). When a people desire God and His righteousness, of their own volition, and begin to repent without any prompting, you know you have revival.

Nehemiah only allowed people who could prove their genealogy come in to Jerusalem to live. This is important. Had everyone been allowed in, then there would have inevitably been issues with problematics. Instead of worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth, and remaining in obedience to God's law, they would have been arguing about side issues rather than building the city for the glory of God. In the church today, so many people come in and are welcome that do nothing but argue and wrangle over non-issues.

Nehemiah had a lot of pressure placed on him to appease the enemy. This pressure also came from those who he didn't consider enemies, but for the sake of getting along, also asked him to give in. Many churches have also been in this position. The demand to appease the enemy is an ever present temptation.

Unfortunately, Nehemiah not only had to deal with outside threats, but he also had to deal with threats within Jerusalem. The church today has to deal with many issues inside the church itself, rarely being able to engage the real enemy that are attacking it on a constant bases.

In this Resurrection Sunday message, we examine the implications of the belief in the resurrection of Jesus. In a recent article, 23% of Christians do not believe in the resurrection of Jesus. However, without this belief are they really Christian at all? Romans 10:9 “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
The Resurrection was and is God's plan for victory, without the faith in this, the faith is futile. 1 Cor. 15:17, “And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!”
