Make you calling and election sure are the exhortations in the two Kingdom parables we are looking at. We not only accept the invitation to labor in the Lord's vineyard and attend His Son's wedding we are activily engaged in the harvest and in appearing before Him clothed in His righteousness.

We are not qualified to judge one another we are called to radical acceptance and love. We are not called to separate the righteous and the unrighteous, Jesus said He would send angels to do that at the end of the age.

You are the Lord's Special Treasure

The Kingdom of heaven is presented by Jesus in parabolic form. Our lives as believers are lived out as citizens of Christ's kingdom until the end of this age, hence the Kingdom of God and eschatology.

Our view of the end of this age is informing our view of the Kingdom of God. If we are going to obey the Great Commission of Jesus Christ we need to understand what Jesus meant when He said, "Make disciples of all Nations" (ethnic groups)

The blessings of the anointing flow to us, in us, and through us to bless others. Anointed preaching brings conviction which leads to repentance which releases the blessings of the Lord in our lives.

We have been anointed to proclaim the Gospel, good news to the poor, and to warn them that God's justice and judgment are coming upon all mankind.

Isaiah 61:1-3 give us a beautiful prophecy of the coming Messiah. Jesus quoted this passage in part and applied it to Himself at the beginning of His ministry thereby declaring that He is the awaited Messiah. The power of the anointing was released through Jesus as He proclaimed His Gospel. We are called to the same anointing so that we might continue all that He began to do and teach. Not as individuals but as the body of Christ, His Church.

The anointing comes to us through our relationship with Jesus the Anointed One. The anointing brings specific blessings that we receive and then can pass on to others through the declaration of the Good News, The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pentecost is a harvest Festival that began around 1,500 years before Christ. Like Passover it is a prophetic revelation of the life and ministry of Jesus. Jesus is our Passover Lamb and He also is the One that ascended to heaven and when He did He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost Sunday. Friends we need the mighty baptism in the Holy Spririt to carry out the Great Commission.
