Contempt and Wrath are reactionary emotional states that one feels as a result of the actions of another. These are not works of the flesh but are the feeling one gets after the observation of someone who displays behavior that opposes a certain system or government.   Contempt and Wrath arise. 

Where does it come from?

It emerges from disorder. However, if contempt and wrath emerge when something is functioning properly, we must question why I feel this way. Korah of Levi & Dathan and Abiram (cousins) of Reuben Inspired a rebellion against Moses and Aaron and were in confederation with 250 Princes of Israel (Districts).  

Whatever work God gave you it is for you. Others may look at what God gave you to do and pass judgment.  

Organizational skills are at an optimal level and your propensity to collapse is less than average. 

You have been prepared to do what God wants you to do. Some may decide to arise against the Leadership God selected.  Above all Moses was Faithful (his epitaph). He spoke fluent Egyptian and understand how the royals behaved (he was an insider at one time). He was astute in how to navigate desert terrain. He was among the few who survived an entire generation while en route to Canaan.                

Most importantly he had Faith under pressure while stuck between a rock and a hard place while the Red Sea was ahead, and an army was approaching rapidly at his back.   

Q: What should be our response when others talk about you or your efforts your dream and your work?  We should do as Moses did. "He fell upon his face" implies that he sought God. Sometimes your opposition comes from the most unlikely places. 

People don’t expect to be hurt in the church, but we do. People don’t expect to get sick in the hospital, but we did. People don’t expect to be free while in prison, but I was. People don’t expect to receive lessons from children, but we do. 

THE LORD WILL SHOW WHO ARE HIS AND WHO IS HOLY  

God gives you a game plan. For all your experiences your faithfulness and being faithful to the call of God. God calls us to separate ourselves. Or receive the fate of those who are due to judgment from God. The sons of Reuben who opposed showing TOO MUCH anger towards Moses and Aaron were consumed by an earthquake. The Sons of Levi who showed leadership TOO MUCH contempt was consumed by fire after offering incense before a Holy God. The Lord will show who is his and who is holy.  Motives: Wrath is not a work of the flesh, but its manifestation causes destruction.

Let no man deceive you with vain words. Especially when their words offend you. Keep it moving. However, at times you must tax the enemy. Let the Lord lead you when navigating a harassing moment. Remember you are smarter than your enemy because of your position in Christ. Don't mourn when they fall. However, when a person gains an advantage know that Jesus has already defeated Satan

Be offended but don't be moved out of your position. Be like a tree! Who shall separate you from God's agenda for your life? No one has that power unless you acquiesce to give consent. One of the major offenses of Satan is to use religious means to offend people. The False Prophet is the Anti-Christ's right-hand man and the vilest concerning the things of God. They should never be allowed to ascend above the child of God.

But the things of God are the most important and learning of Him is indispensable. Culture is non-static however the Will of God is Permanent. We should not envy cultural icons and temporal elements that make up the Zeitgeist (spirit of the times). Understanding the will of God makes you smarter than your enemy because you are in a higher position. For your enemy to fight you they must climb up or shoot up. The wiser enemies try to bring you down. How? They use the tongue as an instrument and words as ammunition.  So, the enemy speak lies to try to get you from your lofty position. 

We are seated in Heavenly places reigning with Christ. Your enemy is blinded by your position with the Son. Therefore, you are fed a diet of lies to keep you in their focus. The lie weakens the saint. It is like kryptonite to the race of believers whose agenda it is to carry out the Will of the Father even unto death.

Mercy and Faith are seldom mentioned together but are often together in practice. Much like you don’t see gravity but you feel it all the time.  

EXPONENTIAL BLESSINGS To recognize and respond to God for his undying Mercy and His faithfulness adds exponential blessings to your life. ` 

THE DIVINE LAW OF LOVE “Those who wish to be spiritual must be silent in matters of other affairs.” Sir Thomas Aquinas   

THE DYNAMIC DUO  “Thy MERCY, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy FAITHFULNESS reacheth unto the clouds” (Psalm 36:5).  These two together are a dynamic duo. The saint are supposed to looks up. When we look up we see Mercy and Faith. 

THE UNFAITHFUL AND MERCILESS Not reciprocating the mercy shown to you towards others. Causes Sociopathic behaviors and psychotic tendencies Professing to be wise. God is a spirit. And those that abide in love resonate with weightier matters such as Mercy and Faith. The Divine Law of Love is not entered by many who disqualify themselves because they step out of bounds.  These become pathetic due to a lack of mercy.

Synchronize with God’s people by not acquiescing to worldly standards.  Love is the highest level of human interaction. Just because you’re in the Church, it does automatically mean you have arrived at the highest level of dealing with others. However, you are on your way!

Synhro·ni·za·tion is the operation or activity of two or more things at the same time or rate. Non-Synchronization or no fellowship consists the of non-conformation of two or more people places or things.

GOD'S RESPONSE

Jesus came to seek and sought to save that which was lost.

Jesus is Proactive in Saving Souls.  Do not flow contrary against the Spirit. The Spirit of God will warn you when you are traveling wrong.

Yet Many of us keep going and going and going (like the energizer bunny until we hit rock Bottom.  When you can’t go any further down you have to look up.

DON’T ACQUIESCE TO THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD

Acquiesce: accept something reluctantly but without protest (agreeing to something by remaining silent). Have no fellowship with darkness!

I will Dwell in the house of the Lord Forever. Either be all the way the world or all in. In God, there is no gray area but if it was it would be called MERCY. No one has to be nice to you.  If someone gives you the right of passage be grateful. Knowing that they did not have to do it.

Also, Know this if you Bless God’s People God shall enlarge your tent.

Conversely, if you block God’s people a curse shall come upon you

GOD LOVES YOU Arguably the most popular scripture in the Bible. Since we do not argue concerning scripture. I would say apologetically one of the most popular scriptures in the Bible. The collection of books known as the Bible was written over 1600 years by 40 authors. Like Africa is a continent the Bible is a collection of books. And not just one book as Africa is not just one country. Out of the collection of Holy Writ John 3:16 is widely recognized that it has become an icon. Today we are going to look at the context of that icon of a scripture. To dig around it. Much as a Dentist must pay detail unto the surrounding gums before an extraction. Or a Real Estate agent pouring water onto the hard ground before digging into the earth to plant his For Sale sign. Context is important. Many times, you define a word you never heard just by the words around it.

Exegesis of select verses in John 3

1. NICODEMUS RELIGIOUS LEADER (verse 1)

2. CAME BY NIGHT | HUMBLE | IN ACCORD WITH ACTIONS (verse 2)

3. JESUS RESPONDS DIRECTLY TO THE HEART OF THE MATTER (SALVATION) AND WASN’T STAR-STRUCK OR INFLUENCED BY THE POSITION OF THE MAN HE ENCOUNTERED 3a. SETTING: IT WAS DARK SO IT BEING NIGHT ADDED EXTRA IMPACT TO THE STATEMENT OF SEEING THE KINGDOM OF GOD EMPATHIZING NICODEMUS’ NEED FOR ENLIGHTENMENT. (Verse 3)

7. NICODEMUS No question is a stupid question. Maybe that’s why he came at night to avoid people who would not understand his yielding to Jesus.

8. JESUS Questions his position as to the poor spiritual condition of the leaders. Outward Appearances rarely agree with the inward conditions of man. God looks on the Heart. Man looks on the outward trapping. This Dialogue yields an iconic scripture which is why there is no such thing as a stupid question. Sometimes we must look past what others may say or think when we are striving for a breakthrough.

1. God Dispatches an Ambassador (Envoy) to check how you are handling the pressure.

2. Your impression could be an imprimatur stamped in the mind of an Envoy.

3. Don’t be a bad Investment: They say don’t kill the messenger when the news they bring back is bad this makes the efforts of the one who chose you in vain. Ask yourself is your living in vain?

4. The Envoy observes your Time, Preparation and Attitude and approves of your course. This qualification prepares the ground before God adds the increase.

Sometimes hostility is disguised as hospitality. How do you react to hospitality disguised as hostility when it gives you a nickname?  When it calls you a fool but uses another word.  To offset such labels and joking pranksters one must use Discretion. Discretion is a defense against Hostility.  What you are known for people tend to bring to mind, when they see you. It is a great honor to be recognized as a Man or a Woman of God I believe that to be the Highest Honor one could achieve.  Discretion must be activated and in gear to receive this honor.   

It’s amazing if you knew how many Christians were on your jobs, in your neighborhoods, and right next to you outside of the four walls of the church.  Yet it seems like that in your downtime people seem to talk about everything except the Lord. Because darkness shuns light and evil hates exposure including many people because hostility (enmity) is lodged in the heart.   So, when people see your light, they are hospitable yet because of their personal struggles insecurities and inner turmoil it is disguised hostility.  It’s a façade. 

The light emanating from those who have spent time with God becomes apparent and offends the sinful heart. Solomon said boldness makes a man's face shine and his countenance is changed.  Who is like a wise man? And who knows the interpretation of a thing?    Discretion is the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information. The performance of your duty in a world so full of violence further separates the upright.  

 Q: When did animals become ferocious? A: It was after sin entered the world.    Because of Sin (1), there was a need for (2) Atonement blood became the Propitiation (satisfactory redemption). Defined: the action of propitiating or appeasing a god, spirit, or person: 

Jesus Christ is the propitiation for our sin. The process of reconciliation back to God must include the death of a soul. The soul that sins shall die mandate that predates human history is still the rule that was never rescinded.  Therefore, Animal sacrifice became the rule as mankind lost innocence and gained consciousness, and later went on to govern themselves Post Babel, ferocity became commonplace in animals and men became carnivorous.  Men were instructed to eat meat but without the blood, because it is blood contains the mystery of life and gives activity to the soul.   

TODAY traps are set that look hospitable but seek hostility against your life.    A: To elaborate on the question Hostility towards others came about as a means for survival against those hostile agents whether man or beast. In other words, to survive the fittest resorted to fighting hostile acts with reciprocity.   Like the Dispensation of Innocence, the Post Grace Dispensations will again see the Lion lay down with the lamb.   We are moving towards this future. Sin certainly brings hostility out and creates an environment for hostility to thrive.  Indirectly or directly: Direct hostility is directed toward your Indirect hospitality is directed towards someone or something that you love. Even though you have a right to be hostile to truly quench the fire of offense one must adopt an attitude that quenches the Firey darts of hostile acts a break the chain of violence.  Discretion is a defense against Hostility.

There is a particular Grace within Jesus Christ. This grace was present before you had any consciousness in Christ. Through hardship, rejection, and every trial you faced it was the Almighty God through His power that kept you until now within this Grace. Once you are in this grace there is something you must do. You have to be strong! You heard the term STRONG IN THE LORD? Likewise, it is possible to be WEAK IN THE LORD. For this is the journey we take from a weaker faith to a faith greater faith. A prerequisite for a commitment for that individual not to be weak. Or at least attempt to progress towards an improved state.

The common challenge we all face is to transform from a weaker into a stronger state. Tradition is a gem hidden behind a cloak of negativity. Traditions are like money they could be used to promote evil or to promote good. Like Religion some words could take on an emotional component when heard by associating that word with something terrible you experienced. However godly traditions taught to the young by the elders contain gems of traditions inside. The things [the doctrine, the precepts, the admonitions, the sum of my ministry] which you have heard me teach in the presence of many witnesses, entrust [as a treasure] to reliable and faithful men who will also be capable and qualified to teach others.

Jesus first shaped the tradition of evangelism after his appearance post-resurrection, yet doubters were still present. Doubt is weakness that comes while in the grace of God. Doubt also comes when new learning is taking place. Jesus gave all believers to be teachers. Teaching is an activity all saints can participate. It is within this Gem we create passages for protégés to enter. First, we are to be faithful teachers. Secondly, we are to be strong. And next thing to do is teach. The first two make it possible for us to obtain the ability to teach. JESUS was introducing a new tradition in a new era when he stressed the importance of this activity of teaching.
