Everything JESUS does has a purpose. Nothing happens by happenstance or accident. Yes a woman is “healed” of a physical condition BUT that Physical condition is only the OUTWARD expression of HER internal SPIRITUAL Healing.

You see when people are exposed to the presence of the awesome HOLINESS of God they will literally run because they love their darkness. When is the last time you turn over a rock and found a bunch of bugs? THEY ALL SCATTER to find—darkness. Whenever the LIGHT of the World is revealed we always RUN for those who are dead in our SIN & love of the DARKNESS.

We need to know if we are a part of THE BODY. I submit to you this morning, Membership—it is a part of BEING a Christian.

We commit ourselves to the LORD…

and that COMMITMENT is demonstrated in that I am living my life in OBEDIENCE TO THE WORD OF GOD.

Which includes the, “one another commands” of Scripture.

BUT the ONLY way I can do that is by COMMITING myself to a local Body of believers. (A Church)

What makes a great story? Successful movie worldwide? Song that is song for centuries?

It is when the writer addresses the universal needs that we all long for. These universal needs that cross oceans, language barriers, Gender differences, cultural misunderstandings, socio-economic differences. Why? Because at the root of all humanity we all long and yearn for certain things that we can not satisfy ourselves…it is apart of being human, the human condition.

Good Friday is reminder of how DARK, & BLEAK our human condition due to our SIN. But why do we call this DAY “Good”? Well if you look back just few verses you see the heart and desire of God to reconcile SINNERS back to God because of His Great LOVE. Look at vss. 18, 19 and 20 you see several times the word "reconciled" in some manner. Vs. 18 says, "God who reconciled us to Himself." Vs. 19, "That God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself." And at the end of vs.20 “we implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
