What I Believe

The foundation of a building is very important. The foundation must go down deep. So it is with the church, if the foundation is faulty then the church will not survive when “the earthquakes” which are inevitable hit. We must examine our foundation on a regular basis to make sure we are ready for what lies ahead.

Four questions about our foundation

What is our mission? To Exalt God, Introduce others to Jesus Christ, Produce mature followers of Jesus Christ. What are our values? To glorify and obey God as revealed in Scripture by Loving Others. Growing in Grace, Sacrificially Giving, Serving Others, Mutual Accountability, Pursuing Excellence. What is our Philosophy of Ministry? The essential ministries of a church are defined in Acts 2:42-47 and include: Worship, Instruction (in the God’s Word), Fellowship, Evangelism …always being bathed in prayer. What is our vision? Church growth in depth and numbers. Are you doing your part to help your church succeed in its mission? Are you exhibiting the virtues of Scripture? When given opportunity to interact with others do you love them? Do you show grace? Are you a servant? Do you give to the mission of the church sacrificially?
