Pastor Simons’ Simple Sermons

As we close our study on thanksgiving, we look at how recognizing our blessings with gratitude causes us to overflow with generosity.

This week we look at giving thanks in all circumstances in our lives, even the difficult ones. These times of grief and suffering and depression are challenges to our giving thanks, but we can still praise the Lord and give him thanks.

As we begin a miniseries focusing on giving thanks to the Lord, we look at a familiar account of ten lepers being healed by Jesus. The one who returned to give thanks to Jesus was in the presence of God, when we give thanks it should bring us to the Lord.

Following the events of the Mt of Transfiguration, Jesus heals a demon possessed boy and teaches of about faith.

This morning we look at the Old Testament Day of Atonement and remind ourselves how Christ is better.

Guest Speaker Marty Simons takes a look at Epaphorditus in Philippians 2.

This week we look at the ministry of reconciliation as we focus on Christ’s sacrifice as we gather a round the Lord’s Table.

As we follow Jesus the Disciples after Jesus healed the blind man bear Bethsaida, we see Jesus question the Disciples with an important test that we need to answer today as well…

We return to our study in the Gospel of Mark as we see Jesus confront the spiritual blindness of the Jewish leaders, the disciples, and the physical blindness of man near Bethsaida.

This morning we finish our Basics series with a look at Stewardship. Stewardship is much more than just financial concerns, it’s the whole Christian life; and we’ll look at several passages that show that.
