Pastor Steve Miller

Paul’s letter to these Christians teaches us that following Christ is not about the rules, but about the ability to live a new life through the power of Christ.

Big Idea: Believers in Christ have the ability to live a new life.

Text: Colossians 3:1-17

Big Idea: The focus of Christ’s work is making God’s name known.

The way Christians treat each other can be the reason why unbelievers won’t believe. Living with uncommon unity impacts unbelievers.

Through Holy Spirit we are have unity relationally with Christ and each other. Unity among believers remains when the Holy Spirit reigns.

Christ’s prayer for unity is not so that we never disagree, never have a difference of opinion, never have a unique perspective, and it is also not a prayer that we just tolerate and get along with each other. He is praying for a deeper spiritual level of unity. An uncommon level of unity.
