Pastors’ Academy

This lecture is an excerpt from Matthew Mason's Pastors' Academy study day on the doctrine of concupiscence. The study day covers historical and doctrinal questions, engages in exegesis of key biblical texts, and then treats the pastoral and practical implications of what we believe and teach about the doctrine.

Dr. James Eglinton, (Meldrum Senior Lecturer in Reformed Theology New College, University of Edinburgh and Author of Bavinck: A Critical Biography) delivered our Annual Martyn Lloyd-Jones Memorial Lecture 2023 on persuasion in preaching, as understood by Herman and J.H. Bavinck.

Jonny Gibson, Professor of Old Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary, spoke from 1 Timothy 4, emphasising particularly the need for consistency of lifestyle and doctrine in Christian ministry.
