Professor Bryan J. Wolf is a visiting professor of American Studies at Yale University and Jones Professor in American Art and Culture, Emeritus, at Stanford University. In the summer, Professor Wolf teaches a course at Middlebury College's Bread Loaf School of English called "Humbugs and Visionaries: American Artists and Writers before the Civil War." His scholarly expertise combines art history, American literature, visual culture, and early American history. He is a graduate of Rice University and Yale Divinity School and received both his MA and PhD from Yale University.
