Today we have an incredible person with us, his name is Mark Heckler. He is originally from Illinois, in the United States,  graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where he made BS in Science, Information technology and business and then an MBA in Finance. He has more than 25+ years of experience, unique career where in the last years he has been at VMware (the company behind Spring) as a Spring Developer Advocate & Software Engineer.

Mark is an open-source contributor and author/curator of a developer-focused blog (https://www.thehecklers.com) and an occasionally interesting Twitter account (@mkheck).

And a big contributor to the Engineering community being a 2-time book Author with “JavaFX: 8 Introduction by Example” and “JavaFX: 9 Introduction by Example” and Mark is currently writing a solo book for O'Reilly titled Spring Boot: Up & Running!, you can find a preview at OReilly.

He has been debugging and Profiling Robots with James Gosling, created the Java Platform, Enterprise Edition Lab 101: An Introduction, the JFXtras, the Pro JavaFX 8: A Definitive Guide to Building Desktop, Mobile, and Embedded Java Clients and the Oracle University Learning Streams: Websocket.

He is originally from Barcelona, Spain,  graduated from Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya where he made BS in Computer Science, and he made an MBA at the University of Normandia. He has more than 10+ years of experience, a marvelous career where now he sits as Principal Software Engineer at Apiumhub.

Today we have Harrington Joseph with us. He is originally from Venezuela. He graduated from Universidad Metropolitana where he received a BS in Systems Engineering. A couple of years later, he received a Masters in Artificial Intelligence after being awarded a full scholarship to pursue this degree at the Universidad de Salamanca. Soon after, he moved to California; initially to Los Angeles, and later to the Silicon Valley area; where he has been working as a Software Engineer for different companies.

Harrington has more than 10 years of experience and a marvelous career in which he acted as Principal Software Engineer at Demand Media (now known as Leaf Group). Today Harrington works as a Sr. Software Engineer at Netflix where he is part of the Data Platform Orchestration team.

Harrington is a continuous contributor to the community as a conference speaker, open-source contributor, and event organizer.

Today we have a very special person with us, his name is Corrado Calzoni he is originally from Italy graduated from Politecnico di Torino where he made a MS in land and environmental engineering & a PhD in geophysics. He has more than 20+ years of experience, an amazing career where the last years he has been principal SWE in Roche.

Today we have an extraordinary person with us, his name is Jason Porter. He is originally from Utah, in the United States,  graduated from Neumont University where he made BS in Computer Science. He has more than 15+ years of experience, an amazing career where in the last years he has been principal Software Engineer in Red Hat.

He is also a big contributor to the Engineering community being a 2-time book Author with “Quarkus Cookbook Kubernetes Optimized Java Solutions” and “Testing Java Microservices”. He is also the president of the local Java Users Group in Utah, a group that averages 100 people attending monthly meetings! Today we have the pleasure of having him with us

Today we join with Santiago Ledesma, he is originally from Alicante Spain graduated from the University of Alicante where he made a MS in Computer Science and Engineering. He has more than 20+ years of experience, an amazing career where the last years he has been CTO in Resa wearables in Phoenix Arizona and Principal Software Engineer at Eventbrite in San Francisco California.

He is also a big contributor to the Engineering community and today we have the pleasure of having him with us!

Following this week with Laurent Ellerbach he is originally from France, graduated from Arts et Métier where he has a master in Science and Engineering. Then he made a second one in Marketing combining 2 incredible crafts. He has been at Microsoft for more than 20 years. He loves both technologies and marketing and always been doing both in his job.

All his career, he was either a marketing person with a technical “hobby”, either the opposite. He is now Principal Software Engineering Manager for a broad region in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He is also a big fan of Lego, he owns hundreds kilos of Lego and thousands of official Lego sets. He is a Lego® Serious Play® facilitator. He always mixes his passions and his work, so today we are going to know him better.

In this episode we have an extraordinary person with us, her name is Marta Luis Burguete she is originally from Castellon, Spain graduated from Universitat Jaume 1 where she made a Bachelor’s and then a Masters in Computer Science. Then she started as a Software Developer Intern in CTAC to then move to Microsoft Switzerland as a Software Engineer, after almost 3 intense and incredible years here she moved to China to find new and exciting projects. After that, he moved to the United States where her path to principal started for almost 7 years. Nowadays she is Principal Product Manager at Glovo, and she will share what was her path to achieve the Principal Role.
