We say “sticks and stones…” and “what they don’t hear won’t hurt them,” but what if false testimony causes harm not only when it’s heard by another, but from the moment it’s spoken?

We have a sense that the passions of the heart are nearly always a right guide, but what if boundaries are just as key to love that is pure?
