September 22, 2013 Gideon: The Coward
Gideon was chronically fearful and timid. He fought God at every point through his story. Ironically, God used him for some incredible war-victories showing us that courage is believing God when he calls us by names we would never ascribe to ourselves.

September 15, 2013 Deborah: The Reluctant
Sometimes even though you don’t aspire to lead, there’s a vacuum that requires you to courageously step in anyway. From Deborah we learn that courage is trusting God to use the available (the willing) no matter their gifts or position.

September 08, 2013 Ehud: The Non-Conformist
Ehud, the “left-handed” warrior from a “right-handed tribe” was not like the rest of his tribesmen. But he shows us that courage is trusting God to leverage your uniqueness, instead of trying to fit in.

September 01, 2013 No One Will Love You For Who You Are
We believe that we must be perfect to be loved, valued, and accepted. The truth is that God loves us as we are, we’re accepted on account of Christ, and people will value us when we’re real and transparent in our imperfections.

August 25, 2013 You Can't Escape Your Past
Many of us believe the lie that our pasts define us and that our futures are tainted by our former mistakes. The truth is that God entrusts us with a new day to make the best decisions we can, to fail, to experience his grace, to learn and to start over.

August 18, 2013 It's All Up To You
The lie of self-reliance keeps us both prideful of our successes as well as needlessly burdened by life’s challenges. God’s truth is that not only is he always with us, but he’s given us one another to thrive, not just survive.

We all hope to be happy in life but when we try to pursue happiness for happiness’s sake, we crash and burn. Happiness is found in pursuing Jesus and aspiring to the life that God has put before us.

July 28, 2013 What We Do Best Apart
The final part of our model is to encourage/equip Christians to live out their lives intentionally during the week. For us, that means focusing on the 1.1.15.6 catalysts so that the best ministry happens outside of “church.”

July 21, 2013 What We Do Best Together
The role of the corporate church gets confused with the role of individual Christians. It’s the primary job of the corporate church to communicate the gospel to everyone (Christian and not) especially in a way that unchurched people can take hold of...
