As we begin a new series, we look back at some of the foundational messages that formed our church. This week, we focus on some core values of Pathways and define what faith is.

Before we enter a new series, we are taking a week to break our routine, challenge ourselves, and seek a move of God in our community and beyond.

For one more week, we will stay in the book of Psalms to examine a topic that often evokes negative emotions: fear. However, in certain circumstances, the right kind of fear can be beneficial.

The book of Psalms is full of relatable emotions, as the authors wrestle with their everyday lives and their relationship with God. This week, Pastor Brent takes a step back to examine some of the recurring themes throughout the book and the lessons it should teach us all.

The culture preaches loudly to us that we are insignificant. As a result, we spend so much time playing the comparison game, trying to measure up to others and their lives. Are you questioning whether or not you are valuable? As we look to the Psalms, we see that these thoughts are not unique to us; David wrestled with the same struggle.

Have you ever noticed how many contradicting statements we use regularly? There is one phrase used too often regarding the church that a believer should never speak. Psalm 96 provides a clear model for our Christian life and outlines what a lifestyle of worship entails.

We have moments in life we wish we could go back and change, undo, or relive for a variety of reasons. In Psalm 51, we see David's raw emotions revealed as He seeks forgiveness for the serious mistakes He has made.

It likely doesn't take much effort to think about a time you felt betrayed; in fact, that is typically where most of our reflection ends, when we were wronged. But if we want to handle betrayal honestly, there is much more that we need to cover.

Have you ever been in the midst of a bad situation and asked yourself, "Where is God? Has He forgotten about me?" The truth is God has not abandoned you, He has not forgotten about you, and although sometimes our circumstances can get that bad, many times it's simply a battle raging in our head.

This week, we turn to Psalm 1, focusing on the clear warnings and rich promises it offers. We’ll explore how its message speaks not only to our lives today, but also to the eternal outcomes shaped by our choices.
