Elsa Garcia started gymnastics at the age of 3, but unlike many Olympian origin stories, she didn't attend her first competition until she was 10 years old. She spent seven years building the foundation that enabled her to skyrocket among her peers. That patient approach has helped her maintain a genuine love and joy for the sport. Elsa joins Better Late to talk about her journey to the London Olympics in 2012 and her journey as she tries to make her second Olympic team. She talks about the state of sports in Mexico, how she learns new skills, training after coronavirus, and regaining strength and skills after lower back surgery.
