We just want to give a huge thanks to Patrick for making the time to be a guest on the show and give us constructive criticism. There’s not enough of that in the industry and we’re always happy to make space for it.

This was the key points of Patrick’s message (as we understood it)

- If we care about accessibility then we should speak slowly & clearly and use language anyone can understand

-If we care about inclusivity then we should be featuring black & disabled artists instead of Eurotrash artists

-If we want to become full time creators and have the biggest tattoo YouTube, then we can do that by focusing on accessibility and giving voice to marginalized people instead of covering tattoo culture or trends

-If we can find the time to create resources like The Scratcher Library, then we can find the time to make posts like the 10 most wheelchair accessible studios in LA.

-When we say things like “Marginalized communities are underrepresented in mainstream tattoo media” we are wasting our energy. Instead of educating people that a problem exists, it’s more impactful to share the incredible work that marginalized people are doing. By sharing their stories we can learn about the obstacles they face in their own words.
