Patrick Devlin Podcast

Episode III of the Patrick Devlin Podcast - a podcast about writing for writers and all who are interested in the writing industry, the writing world, or are just curious about this specific episode.

The podcaster, Patrick, is a writer of primarily fantasy as well as some non-fiction. Currently, he is working on a book on a missionary during the Vietnam War and also a fiction work blending both sci-fi and fantasy into one in the piece.

Episode 2 of the Patrick Devlin Podcast, a podcast for writers by a writer. I share what I have learned so that you can learn from me and level up your own writing skills.

In Episode I of my podcast I set the stage for the various topics I will cover in the podcast:

• Creative Writing: my thoughts and opinions on how creative writing is a worthwhile pursuit and how this is very much a field that is not in any danger due to AI.
• Fantasy and science-fiction writing guidance for beginners, those who have intermediate or even advanced knowledge of the subject.
• Discussion of authors, books, and short stories that I find particularly relevant in this field.
• Tools that are useful for creative writing ranging from software, websites, podcasts, and much more.
• In the future, possibly interviews with authors and others in the industry.
• My own writing and how this has guided my interest in creative writing.
• Why I believe that artificial intelligence can help writers but that artificial intelligence will never replace authors.
• I approach writing from a Conservative and Catholic Christian perspective. Deal with it.

in episode 2 of the Patrick Devlin Podcast, I share my vision for a world in which people re-engage with politics and share their own perspectives with a world that is rapidly evolving and contribute their own impacts.

Originally recorded on March 25, 2025. Discussion of the Tesla vandalism, political situation in the US, and more.
