Au Manoir de la Pillardière, là où les anciens propriétaires ne voyaient que des ruines et des travaux contraignants avec la réfection des toits, Philippe Dubreuil, lui, a ressenti la sérénité qui émanait de ce lieu et de ces vieilles pierres du Perche. Il a vu le potentiel que pouvait offrir cette prairie à vaches qu’il transforme depuis 10 ans en une oasis de verdure et de biodiversité à travers les jardins du Montperthuis. Partons immédiatement pour un voyage dans le temps et l’espace.
Le manoir de Vertot est situé en Normandie au pays des pommes ! Entre Pommeau, jus de pommes, Calvados et cidre bien sûr, le domaine est un véritable héritage paysager de la région. En effet, sa forme caractéristique entourée de talus surmonté de tilleuls en font des oasis de micro-climats propices à une vie riche et diversifiée avec comme arbre phare : le pommier. Vue du ciel le territoire se découpe en quadrillages qui tendent à disparaître face à la pression immobilière et agricole. C’est pourquoi le paysage de Caux a demandé à être inscrit au patrimoine mondial de L’UNESCO.
Il était une fois, au début du XIXéme siècle, une volonté impériale d’entreprendre la construction de canaux pour faciliter l’acheminement de l’eau et des vivres pour les parisiens. 80 ans plus tard, au plus fort de l’activité portuaire, sur le bassin de la Villette, le centre administratif des canaux vit le jour en 1882. Aujourd’hui, le bâtiment se transforme en vitrine de l’économie circulaire, sociale et solidaire pour faire émerger de nombreuses initiatives régénératrices des Hommes et de la planète !

Acquis depuis peu, ce château a autrefois appartenu à une grande bienfaitrice originaire de la région chalonnaise : Mme Boucicaut. Simple hasard ou véritable appel à poursuivre à sa manière cet héritage au combien généreux, l’histoire d’Isabelle et de sa maison n’est qu’à son commencement …
