Who would have expected we’d still be worrying about COVID-19 and lockdown measures this fall?
We’re facing so many emotions—uncertainty, grief, worry, anxiety, fear, depression. While anxiety and depression may seem overwhelming, I’d like to offer you a different path.
Having steadied my heart over the past 30 years of living with depression, OCD, and anxiety I know that right now we need:
+ the help and guidance of saints who lived through times of personal difficulties and darkness
+ information on what is happening when we feel anxiety and clear, easy-to-remember practices for finding calm
+ guides for meditation and prayer because it can be so hard to focus in these days.
When my heart starts to panic and my mind is on overwhelm, I have the tools to settle down, sort through what’s happening, listen to Saint Joseph (my favorite saint), and reground myself in the Mystery that is holding and healing me and making me whole.
I’m not saying it is easy. There is no quick way to walk through the pieces of a breaking heart.
I’m not going to tell you how to make believe you don’t feel what you are going through.
I am going to tell you that your heart—your precious heart—when opened gently and honored, will become your most trusted guide as you seek the Lord’s direction for your life.
If you want to clear away the static so you can tune in to God’s incredible, I’ll-never-let-you-go Love for you, join us.
