PauseCast

In this episode, we talk about video game journalism, Skyrim, designing big video games, and much more.

This week, Jessica and Mark discuss the weird things we play sometimes. And other stuff too, of course. Check it.

Now with new and improved recording gear! And also with just, a lot of things better, including our recording schedule. This week, Mark has finished Final Fantasy X after having it in his life for 10 years. So we talk about that, like, a lot.

Jessica plays the most contrasting games and we talk about custom soundtracks and so much more on this week's episode of PauseCast!

This (past) week, Jessica gets started on Stardew Valley, Mark plays more Moon Hunters, both talk about some news, and Jessica wonders about her sexual opportunities with krogans. We also talk about some ideal games!

This week, there's just a lot about Rise of Iron and Moon Hunters. Maybe a little less about Rise of Iron itself and more about Destiny. We also talk about game soundtracks and why we listen to them, the developer's 'intended experience', and more. Content warnings: strong language. Also contains Metal Gear Solid V spoilers

Swords! Cool swords! Super cool swords!!!! This week on PauseCast, we hit Sony's Playstation event with some hot takes, discuss Steam's curation and quality control problems, and fail to hide bodies in dumpsters. Oh, and we talk about cool swords, and knives (which are basically the same). Content warnings: strong language. Other warnings: minor spoilers for Dishonored (2012)

We take an unusual turn and talk about gout and other foot issues. Maybe everyone in Fire Emblem Awakening just got wicked bad gout and their feet fell off? Aside from a brief mention of feet, we talk about Overwatch, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, and way more. Shoutout to anamanaguchi for our theme music, John Hughes, from the album Endless Fantasy! Find us on basically everywhere as pausecastshow, and email the show at pausecastshow @ gmail! I'm not including links anymore because they seem to break literally everywhere, so sorry if you managed to scrape those.

Jessica has a shocking revelation this week. She also talks about picking up Journey, and Mark joins in to talk about always online-DRM, voice actors, and more. Content warning: strong language.

Our last episode was glitched to hell and back. We've come with some quality content to amend for that though, including discussions of lizard politicians, weird writing, and removing games from game language. Content warnings: strong language
