This episode is brought to you by a business opportunity that WE feel has the potential to change your life!
Forbes said, “in the next five years, 79 Million people will have home-based businesses”. The world as we know it is changing. Technology is replacing many jobs and who ever thought that shopping malls would actually shut down. Did you know that Payless Shoes recently went bankrupt? That was a “go-to” shopping place for many families. There were over 2000 locations closed in the US and over 200 in Canada. Where will these employees find work? We have a better way!
People are buying differently and a lot of those purchases are on-line. People are willing to pay more for quality and for products that are multi-faceted. We have a solution!
Hosts: Darlene Ondi, Kate Miller, Belinda Muse and Piper Burch
Darlene starts off this episode by sharing that she has always considered herself and kind person and Paying It Forward was something that was and is innate for her. Giving to others brings her Joy because she experiences the difference and the Joy that it brings to other people’s lives. Giving is from the heart and that is who you are.
Kate shares several heartfelt stories on the theme of Paying It Forward starting with an experience she had with her daughter. They had come across a homeless woman who had not shoes and her daughter took off her brand new tennis shoes (runners in Canada) and gave them to this homeless woman. Kate witnessed the look on the woman’s face of the gift the woman received from her daughter and has never forgotten that moment.
Kate delves even deeper to her story of Kimi. When Kate was a juvenile counselor she was approached by Kimi who wanted to help the youth of her community. Kimi was not a wealthy woman however obviously wealthy of heart. Every 3 months she would give Kate a substantial check to utilize those funds in the best way possible. Kate was able to Bless thousands of people with this gift. Kimi asked to remain anonymous however asked Kate to share the stories, and would say, “tell me the stories, tell me what was on the kids’ faces”. Kate felt so blessed to be able to do this for her and learned how to Be Graciously Humble.
Belinda shares, you don’t have to have much to give to others. Was brought up that when you’re blessed you bless others. Who can you help? Belinda personally has had experiences where someone has paid the toll tag and she was so touched by the experience that the next week she did that for someone else. When experiences such as this take place in your life you are teaching others how to BE. Belinda closes with a powerful quote from Winston Churchill…”We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give!”
Piper continues as she resonates completely with Paying It Forward because she has always wanted to Be a Philanthropist. You don’t have to have money to give. With that being said, in order to Be a Philanthropist you do and she has found a vehicle that allows her to give where she chooses to give. Piper boldly claims, where we put our money is what we support and she chooses to consciously support that for the Greater Good! Piper appreciates that we have a platform to give to others and to raise funds for helping others including causes.
Reflections:
Paying It Forward is a Gift to Give and to Receive
What if you truly had a vehicle to transform people’s lives, in all areas of their lives?
Think what our world would be like if every human being had access to clean, clear water
What are You Passionate about?
Please make a point to listen to the story of the Starfish one more time….
