One of my first thoughts and questions that day upon being invited to check out this game of Pickleball was where did that name come from?
The official story is the name came from the Pritchard's dog, Pickles. But there is more to the name story and it comes from credible sources. That story has nothing to do with the dog.
Does it really matter? I don't think so but I tend to believe the latter story more than the first.
