Melon talks about looking for ways to either shift your mindset, or to take action to change the environment. Sometimes we need to power through, but sometimes we need to address fundamentals, or take a knee for some healing.
Mike talks about preparing his life before the “bang”, or stressful event occurs. He prepares his environment and culture; marshals resources; gets into communication; and identifies allies. These four steps bring clarity around the best and worst case, which in turn reduces surprise and shock when the stressful event occurs.
