This week, Mike and Melon return after a few days behind our regular release schedule. As we always share, nobody gets a pass in life and all that it has for us.
Recently, the McFadden family lost a patriarch in the family. A father. Melon shares the struggles of dealing with death and how his family has processed the loss in order to discover lessons, deeper meaning, and reforged relationships.
Mike on the other hand is also no stranger to hardship. He opens up about his recent struggles of faith, hope, purpose, and direction & discusses how some time at the park, some reading, strong emotions, and an undeniable experience at Church changed him completely.
These experiences can be called “crutches” as we can and will have the decision hang on to them as we “walk” through life….or choose to toss them away and not let them define us. We must remember we are not our crutches. They are just what we experience for a little while as we continue on the trail to get to where we ultimately want to be.
Do you have “crutches?” Do they impede your way forward? Are you tired of having them around to “walk” through life?
Let us know what you think!
