In this week's episode, Pastor Steve reflects on being open to a Still Speaking God. What would it mean if God can send us to affect others? Does God send others to affect us? Are we listening or watching for God's call and purposes?
In this week's short reflection, Pastor Steve discusses naming conventions, modifiers, and classification of "being" Christian.
This week we talk about prayer using a few examples of prayer and explore the different ways we pray. Hopefully, this short reflection will help you deepen your understanding of faith and your relationship with the Divine using your gifts.
This week's podcast is a very brief pondering of Sunday and worship. Specifically, Sabbath rest and Sunday worship. How did we come to worship on Sunday? What is Sabbath rest? Can we rest and refresh ourselves on other days or worship in different ways? Maybe we can if we are willing to love and trust, have faith and courage.
In this episode, we wanted to address conflict. Conflict is a natural, standard, and healthy part of group processes. Groups that can establish trust in their norms tend to grow stronger through resolving conflict. Every church is a group, and each time a person joins or leaves, a new group forms. What matters is how we relate to ourselves and others through the conflict and how we handle trust. This episode does not have all answers or how-to lessons on resolving conflict. It's merely a reflection on our part of the conflict in the group process.
This week Pastor Steve reads a little book based on an often missed hymn, "All Things Bright and Beautiful the Lord God Made Them All," a short story that he reads to his children and the hymn they like to sing at church. It isn't a long story, but it's one with some profound theology we could all re-learn. Funny how parenting does this sometimes.
This week we celebrated Easter on Sunday, and since our handbell choir met for the first time in over a year to make a musical offering, we thought it would be good to share with you some history and the piece itself. We hope you enjoy the special music.
This week we wanted to introduce the host, Pastor Steve, with a few common questions and his answers. As we learn and grow in podcasting, we are also beginning to edit and add other content. We have licensed the music by Soundstripe from the artist Dreamlamp.
This week we wanted to share with you a brief history of PCC-Fargo. In this way, we hope you will learn a little more about us as we begin this digital faith journey together.
Our first podcast! Just a welcome and introduction as we test the digital waters.
