How does one find his way back to himself after years running in the opposite directions? Are artists born or made? Craig tells the story of being so far away from his true idendity that it almost killed him. He is a washed-up psychiatric nurse and is currently working on a novel, a memoir, and several short stories.

Barbara is a veteran of 45+ years in theatre arts, including playwriting, directing, design and mostly performance: musicals, Shakespeare, classic American, as well as children’s theatre. Wow! Tonight she will share a few moments of her stormy Relationship with her father – and the missed opportunities as a result. She is currently working on a one-woman piece, spanning her many and varied life experiences. Watch this space!

Julie is the first to say "Storytelling is easy . . . narrative is hard!" She is a lifelong Portland resident and local traditional storyteller. Tonight Julie shares a personal story of fear, intimidation and eventual redemption.

Being a parent is the universe's way of shattering our illusions of control and setting us on a path to wisdom. That is not an original Warren thought, he picked it up from someone else. Maybe Nietzsche? Maybe Zissou? Anyway, he can't wait to get himself some a that there wisdom.

Questioning one's life purpose is a common, perhaps even universal, human experience. Since 2000, Heather has made the annual summer migration to Bristol Bay, Alaska, to fish commercially for salmon. This story explores her inner questioning regarding her life path, the initial resistance, and eventual embracing, of the fishing legacy she inherited from her father. In the 'off season' she has spent her time working as a Massage Therapist, traversing foreign countries and inner landscapes, and she finds joy in writing, deepening relationships, and time in nature. This story takes a look at the unique relationships we have with our grandparents who, unlike our parents, can provide a powerful link to our personal sense of family history. Frank has been—among other things--a survey crew member, a construction site go-fer, a bookstore owner, a studio and wedding photographer, and a bridge tender. He recently retired from a teaching position at Mt. Angel Seminary where he was variously addressed as Doctor, Professor and Father.
