Psalm 23 was our focus yesterday and again today. King David writes in verse 3, "He restores my soul". Do you know how God defines the soul? It is probably a much wider context than you think. Let's talk about feeling vulnerable and what we do in those moments. I share what happened to me this week and how it was the impetus that led to me pouring out my heart to a friend and receiving words of life back from her through the Spirit. God promises to heal us if we confess, see James 5:16. There is a challenge today to consider what is stirring within, what needs to come out for God's light to heal it. God's promise of peace is supernatural. He initiates the pathway to peace. He sets up an oasis of pleasant pasture and sometimes He does this as a result of a painful circumstance. This is what I experienced over the last day. Yesterday I tearfully recorded that I would not be recording for a few days as I rested and healed from an eye injury. But it has happened much quicker and God get s the glory on it. That's what this episode is about and an encouragement for you to meditate and repeat His promise and then pray it tonight before you go to bed. Blessings! In a social distancing world, we can still find people to touch. Those in our circle, those we meet with through screens, we can lay hand-to-hand and pray for them. That is the challenge today. Today's episode is a transcript reading of a video I posted today on our private Facebook group page. That page is also called Peace Be Still- Daily Prayer download (search for us on Facebook; and try the group out!). I share an incident that happened while I was out shopping towards the end of March 2020, a moment where a level of anger rose up that I knew was not good. It's a practical example for application of 2 Corinthians 10:2-5 and how to hold thoughts captive. God is clear that we are not to wage war the way the world does. He gives us weapons of warfare like prayer that are mighty in Him to renew our thoughts and transform us into His likeness. Stick around to the end to receive prayer.
