  • Being Married: Husband
    Date: November 14, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
    Scripture: Colossians 3:19 (Page 1253)
Theme: The call is simple for husband – we are to love our wives and not be harsh with them. Is this as simple as it seems? Can we say that among Christian husbands in our church that the two biggest descriptors of them are “loving” and “gentle”? But why are these the traits God has for Christian husbands; what does this reveal about the heart of God?

  • Being Married: Wives
    Date: November 7, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
    Scripture: November 7, 2021
Theme: One of the common descriptors for the godly wife normally includes the word “submission.” Why, after so much teaching, does this word still put a bad taste in our mouths? How have we continued to misunderstand and misuse this word? Is the godly wife’s pursuit of submission a sacrifice to her identity or a way to flourish in her faith?

  • Depart From Me
    Date: October 31, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
    Scripture: Matthew 7:21-23 (Page 1032)
Theme: Arguably the most frightening thing we read from Jesus: There will be those who believed they are saved Christians, but actually are not… How can we have assurance of salvation and knowledge that our personal relationship with Jesus is truly a two-way street?

  • The Horror of Hell
    Date: October 24, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
    Scripture: Luke 13:1–5 (Page 1109)
Theme: Jesus gives us a stark warning about avoiding sin because it leads to Hell. He describes Hell as an unquenchable fire... what should we know about this horrendous place?

  • I Bring A Sword
    Date: October 17, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Jon Delger
    Scripture: Luke 13:1–5 (Page 1109)
Theme: In this message we see the Prince of Peace tell us he did not come to bring peace, but to bring a sword. What does this mean? What is he going to do with this sword? How does this image compare with the normal image of tender Jesus? How does this verse give us a clearer picture of Jesus, his mission, and our part in it all?

  • REPENT OR PERISH
    Date: October 10, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
    Scripture: Luke 13:1–5 (Page 1109)
Theme: Jesus was not all accepting of anything about everyone. The first words Jesus said as he began his earthly ministry were, “Repent! For the Kingdom of God is at hand!” In this message, Jesus directly ties repenting with salvation. We cannot take our sin into our salvation and sanctification. What does this mean for those who continue in sin?

  • FAMILY FOCUSED
    Date: October 3, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
Theme: As Paul wraps up his second missionary journey, going through Corinth and returning to Antioch, we see the influential leader of the synagogue, Crispus, converted to Christian, but not just him – the Bible tells us also his entire household. Faith is meant to be a family affair! And not just the family of the home, but the church is meant to be a family. Before he concludes this missionary journey, it says that Paul spent time “strengthening the brothers.” Using the language of family (brothers), we see a critical piece of church life is that the church is a family encouraging each other – and that is why we at Peace will build the family of the home – and the family of the church!

  • Kingdom Minded Pt 2 – Pursuing the Lost
    Date: September 26, 2021
    Scripture: Acts 17:16-34 (focus on verse 29-31) (Pg. 1178 – 1179)
    Speaker:  Ryan Kimmel
Theme: Verse 16 tells us that as Paul was waiting in Athens, his spirit was provoked about all the idolatry, and so he preaches the Gospel to those who are lost. Paul’s spirit was provoked because he had the heart of Jesus, which is a heart for the lost. Part of mission is to pursue the lost; to be Kingdom-minded is to look beyond ourselves to a world that needs Jesus!

  • KINGDOM-MINDED PT. 1; PLANTING CHURCHES
    Date: September 19, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
Scripture: Acts 17:1-15 (focus on verses 4 and 12, the birth of those churches)
Theme: With churches now being planted all over Macedonia, we see Paul and company in action, facing opposition, and keeping hearts towards the Kingdom. They were not wanting to promote their names but the name of Jesus. At Peace, we are looking to follow these same steps to plant churches, not because we are looking to expand our brand but because we are Kingdom-minded!

  • GOSPEL-CENTERED
    Date: September 12, 2021
    Speaker: Pastor Ryan Kimmel
Theme: After being stopped by the Holy Spirit from going where He was not leading, Paul and company get a vision to where God is leading them and Acts tells us that “immediately” they went to where God was calling them, “concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel…” At Peace Church, preaching gospel is at the center of what we are called to do.
