Jesus warned his disciples that they would be scattered, but they should not be afraid. Today we find ourselves scattered and fearful. But Jesus' words still ring true today. "Be courageous. I have overcome the world."

Today's devotion is provided by Pastor Matthew Moldstad. Pastor Moldstad currently serves at Peace Lutheran Church in North Mankato, Minnesota.

How do you talk about difficult or controversial topics? How do you treat people who disagree with you? The Bible offers advice on this in Philippians chapter 2.

What is baptism all about?

Is it all about what we do for God? That we are making a pledge to God? That we promise to be faithful to him and to his word for the rest of our lives? Or is it rather, about something else?

Peter said “Lord to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Just think what that means. The Word you're giving us is the very thing that will take us out of our grave someday so that we can live forever in the mansions above in heaven.

Do you roll out of bed and make your way to the bathroom? Or do you go downstairs and turn on the coffee maker? Or maybe you simply roll over and pick up your phone and check your emails and notifications? What is your morning ritual?

What do you call church?

I think for most American Christians we refer to what we do on Sunday morning as worship. And it's an appropriate term. We come to church to offer God our prayers and praise and to bring him our gifts as well. Is that really all we do on Sunday morning? Or even the main focus?

When was the last time you felt stuck? What do you do when you're feeling trapped? Today Pastor Ulrich encourages us to follow the example of King David and call upon God when we're in need. Because we know he will answer us.

Today's devotion is provided by Pastor Luke Ulrich. Pastor Ulrich currently serves at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Mankato, Minnesota.
