Every evening my family likes to read a children's devotion book right after supper. One of our favorite books is this one I have here, Read With Me Bible.

My children are learning cause and effect. They don’t realize their actions cause problems. Similarly, we often downplay our sins, distancing ourselves from their severity. It is by recognizing our sins that we see the depth of God’s grace.

Luke chapter 10 Jesus tells a very familiar story often referred to as the Good Samaritan.

You'll never meet anybody more fickle than a sports fan. But while we may be fickle in our faith. Christ is steadfast.

Doesn't it seem a bit odd how Jesus responds to this man?

Life is full of legitimate either/or questions and they belong that way. You can only be one thing or the other.

The "Footprints in the Sand" poem beautifully illustrates Jesus carrying us through tough times. But how do we know He's with us today? By spending time reading the Bible can we see Jesus walking with us during the difficult times of life.
