Peace: wholeness, flourishing, life in harmony with God, ourselves, and the world around us. What does it mean to live in peace in the midst of a violent world? James points to bitter envy and selfish ambition as the root problem, all because "you do not ask God". When we are secure in God's care, we no longer need to fight with others for scarce resources. We're freed to say, "I was wrong," and "I forgive you."
