  • Ep. 18 P-Town Soup, Part III: Clams End
Winter 2020 — As they say, all good things must come to an end, a Clams End that is! Thank you Michael Cunningham for the inspiration — we very much enjoyed your book, “Land’s End”
We’ve arrived at the third and final episode of our P-Town Trilogy — where the soup talk continues both in and out of the kitchen, accompanied by some deep cuts from Zoe Lewis’s vast catalogue of music.
In this culminating episode Tave & her Rhode Island resident friend, April Brown, go on a soup making adventure. They share stories while cooking her grandmother’s traditional recipe for Narragansett chowder.
We talk with Mark Bjorstrom, Vice Chair & Treasurer of SKIP – The Soup Kitchen in Provincetown, who gives us a behind the scene tour of the network involved in nourishing the Outer Cape community.
We also visit with Dougie Freeman, the owner of the West End Salon & Spa, and get the scoop from a few friendly dog lovers.
Set your stovetops to simmer, sit back and enjoy our finale:

  • Ep. 16 P-Town Soup, Part I: Entering Provincetown
Winter 2020 – We’re excited to announce the arrival of Season 3: The P-Town Trilogy and our sparkling shiny new website to go with it.
Please check out PeaceLoveandSoup.com for all of our past episodes, subscription links, photos, recipes & much, much more!
This season we’re devoting its’ entirety to Provincetown, Massachusetts – a quaint seaside town situated at the outermost tip of good ole’ Cape Cod.
In this of episode we’ll be chatting with:
Jay Critchley, a resident artist,  activist & creator of the community nurturing organization The Compact.
The Mama Tits, a visiting drag queen performer.
Blair Fell, a writer & long time P-Town summer guest.
And a few Michaels; writer Michael Cunningham, publisher & web creator Michael Goff & lawyer Micheal Gottlieb. We bumped into them at the opening of local painter, John Dowd’s latest work, presented by the William Scott Gallery on Commercial Street.
And because we are a soup podcast we will be digging deeper into the exotic world of chowder! We found that there are as many type of chowder as there are varieties of people who frequent this magical & historical piece of land.
Thank you to everyone who lent their voices and shared their soup stories with us. Special thanks go out to P-Town’s own world traveling musician, Zoe Lewis, who so generously provided the music that you’ll be hearing throughout this trilogy. You can find out more about her and her music by going to ZoeLewis.com
Well, without further ado we give you P-Town Soup, Part I: Entering Provincetown
    Enjoy,

We’ll be celebrating creativity in all it’s forms from art to architecture, transportation to transformation, and unique ways of building community through gifting and radical self-expression.
There are many aspects of the Burning Man experience —  being a temporary city of 70,000 inhabitants gathering each year in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert — it would be impossible to explain it all. But with the help of our friend, campmate, and professional tour guide in the default world, Rah-Rah, we’ll be guiding you on a journey guaranteed to be both educational and entertaining.
You’ll hear from a variety of Burners, from around the globe, sharing their personal connections of what the Playa provided them.

  • Ep. 14 Generation Z for Zeal Soup
Summer 2018  – and we spent it getting to know Generation Z — with all that brightness and energy, we focus on the youth of today in all their glorious complexity.
They’re poets and musicians, activists and free thinkers, fun loving and kind, and frankly … full of zeal!
Join us for a lively round table discussion with four recently graduated high school students — Mila, Oggie, Sebastian  and Avery.
Special thanks to Avery and his band ATLESS  for providing the music for this show.  Be sure and check him out at  https://atlessband.bandcamp.com
The adventure continues as we document Verslandia  – Portland’s annual grand slam poetry event in which slam poet winners from a variety of high schools go head to head in a night of poetic glory.
We have an exclusive interview with one of the poets Tave’s very own daughter Lucinda Drake.
Our DYK segment features the benefits of probiotic drinks, which in-turn inspired us to assemble an original chilled health concoction consisting of homemade pickled vegetables, apple cider vinegars and a sparkling rejuvelac broth.
    Surprises await!
Ready to feel rejuvenated, inspired and entertained !
