Kristen identifies himself, and by extension, us, as part of a tribe that yearns for spiritual revival. He has a vision of our church becoming a joyful force against negative influences. He shares his experiences within the church, particularly his impactful moments spent in prayer and engaging with the youth.
He underscores the importance of worship in our church so that our younger members will spearhead transformative worship experiences that will break chains and unlock hearts. Kristen also shares his prophecy about a significant spiritual awakening in New Zealand, using scriptures from Isaiah and Psalms as evidence. Despite any scepticism we may harbour, Kristen reassures us that, as believers, we're part of an extraordinary spiritual movement. He concludes this part of the conversation by emphasizing that the power and kingdom belong to God, a core belief that underpins our faith and vision.
Kristen tells us about the striking similarities he observed between a revival at Asbury University and a revival meeting in Lower Hutt, despite the significant geographical distance between the two. This list of revival characteristics, shared by Pete Gregg, includes a tangible sense of peace, a restorative sense of belonging, authentic hope, humility in power, and a focus on the adoration of Jesus.
Inspired by the "Jesus Revolution" movie and noting the growing needs of the young generation, Kristen states that a significant, drought-breaking spiritual rain is on the way. He asserts that New Zealand is appointed for a Great Awakening that will spread across the nation, and he sees the church as a crucial catalyst and steward of this movement. As he recalls the moment he entered the building, he acknowledges the extraordinary spiritual energy at play. He concludes by preparing to pose three important questions, suggesting that God has a query for us.
