For college athletes, this is a conversation we’ve all had with ourselves when we are laying on the floor after a hard, sweaty practice asking ourselves “why am I doing this again?” In this episode, we dive a little deeper than most on our reasons as to why we became student athletes, what are daily lives looked like, and how that lifestyle affected us physically, emotionally, and most importantly, mentally. Even for listeners who might not be athletes, the latter part of this episode aims to relate to all in the discussion of mental health and how it is created, our struggles toughing through it, and then how we eventually overcame it. While we do try to keep our podcasts light and comedic, this podcast is split more 50/50 between funny stories and some unfiltered, real talk. We hope this episode has a positive impact on those listening, by letting you know, you are not alone. Get ready to peak behind the curtain of being a student athlete and let’s get into it!
