  • What Is Church?
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. Do you remember the children’s song, “We are the Church”?
    I am the church.
    You are the church
    We are the church together
    All God’s people
    ALl around the world
    Yes! We’re the church together
Maybe you remember the hand motions that go along with it?
Do you remember that game we used to play….
    (Here’s the church. Here’s the steeple….)
I have a personal library full of seminary books, Bible commentaries and Bible dictionaries.
I have recordings of famous preachers and theologians who expound on the faith, the nature and mission of the church, and all the rest.

  • Love Regardless
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. Do not let the sun go down on your anger.”
That’s what the Bible says. (Ephesians 4: 26)
When I first heard that, being new to the Christan faith and having not yet read the passage, I thought it was a referee to Jesus himself,
Do not let the son - the son of God, Jesus - don’t let anger push him out of your life.
Don’t let the sun go down on your anger.
Some people read that quite literally.
Deal with anger before the sun goes down.
    I can see that.

  • Music
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. A college friend and fraternity brother during music school days at what was then Madison College has made his living as an elementary school music teacher. He recently posted inspiring words about the importance of music in our schools and his words spoke to me about the importance of music in the church. His name is Sam Ebberly, and I reached out to Sam and asked permission to share his words with you today. I’m glad he said, “Yes.”
March is “Music in Our Schools Month” a celebration of the importance of music in our lives as individuals, and society as a whole. A means of exploring cultures here at home and around the world, music transcends language, wealth, education, geography, gender, and time. It’s a shared experience that touches emotions, lifts the heart, helps heal the soul and bonds humanity together.

  • Hold On
Trusting God At All Times Daily Devotional. How’s your outlook on life?
    Pretty good?
    Pretty crappy?
Do you get up most days with an excited, “It’s morning, God,” or do most of your days begin with , “Oh, God, it morning,”?
Is your mid-day break about looking back at what you have done in order to anticipate what the next half of the day will detail or is that lunch break akin to the groundhog who sticks his head out of the ground for a few moments hoping no one is watching?
At the end of the day do you GO home or do you GET home?
