In this first episode of Uncomfortable Conversations, we speak to Pearl Lee, a passionate ED&I speaker in Singapore who openly shares her life's challenges as a person with disabilities working in Singapore.
About Pearl Lee
Pearl Lee is a multidisciplinary business manager, an Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) speaker and community leader, based in Singapore.
Born with bow legs, scoliosis and restrictive lung disease, Pearl always thought certain things in her life were impossible because of her physical disabilities.
Due to the myths and mistakes she made, Pearl experienced burnout and her own health crisis between 2015 to 2017.
This led her to embark on her emotional healing & transformation journey in 2017 with her transformation mentor.
Ever since, Pearl has been breaking through the impossible and living a life beyond her disabilities and imagination.
Today, it is one of her personal missions to encourage and empower others in taking a step closer to their dream lives by sharing her story, life lessons and contributing to the DE&I work in organisations.
She believes that it is possible to live a life beyond the physical disabilities and limitations. One of her personal missions is to be a connector and co-creator of work opportunities for the community of people with disabilities. Together with organisations and individuals, Pearl aspires to contribute her professional and personal experience to a more equitable and inclusive world for people from all walks of life where we can live our fullest potential.
