About Swanie Khoo
Swanie Khoo is an experienced Relationship Therapist, and founder of Made for Relationships. Made for Relationships, its name speaks for itself, as it is a center for therapeutic work for individuals who are going through a crisis in their relationships at home or at work.
Swanie comes from the corporate world prior to entering the therapeutic arena. She was a Human Resources Business Partner with OCBC and KPMG, for more than 10 years. She has culminated years of experience working with business leaders in the Banking and Finance, Consulting and IT industries. Her work encompasses coaching leaders toward growth, and greater emotional connection with their employees, helping individuals grow through transitions and career change, recruiting and developing talents for leadership roles in organizations.
As a trained Marriage and Family Counsellor and Psychotherapist, she works with couples, individuals, and children and their families across a range of mental health and behavioural issues. Her experience was built through years of working in private practice in Singapore, and serving various NGOs – volunteering in various Girls’ Home in Singapore, and Focus on the Family. The crux of her work focussed on rebuilding family relationships, strengthening bonds, and helping individuals heal through attachment psychotherapy.
Her mission is to bring hope and healing to the hurting, to journey with those whose lives are broken by tragedy and trauma, toward rebuilding of lives and giving them a hopeful future through therapy, counselling and care. She holds a Masters of Arts (Counselling), and currently a PhD candidate in Clinical Counselling.
