Today’s interview is with Gabriel Lakey and Ian Fowler the writer and directors of the upcoming alt-noir comedy “Punched After the Fact” Fowler is an accomplished Portland filmmaker and his previous award winning “Crazy/Right” was released in 2017 to much acclaim. Lakey has worked with upcoming musicians like Adam Knight and Hollywood star Adrian Greiner (Entourage, Devil Wears Prada). They are getting close to being able to release the film and we discuss how their collaboration began, the independent filmmaking process, DIY lighting and cinematography, the importance of drive and just how overblown budgets can be for major studio releases.  We also discuss their influences and what recent films they admire.  I am very excited to see Punched After the Fact once it is released and will definitely give my thoughts on the film.  I really enjoyed this conversation and learned a lot.  Hope you do as well.  Thank you for listening! - MichaelBe sure to support the film and follow Gabriel and Ian here:https://www.instagram.com/punchedafterthefact/https://m.imdb.com/title/tt10914372/?ref_=m_ttmi_tthttps://www.instagram.com/iansfowler/https://www.instagram.com/glakeyvideo/--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pedestrian-at-best/messageSupport this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pedestrian-at-best/support
