Peer 2 Peer Real Estate's podcast

I had to talk about this:

Sorry I don't mean to burst mine and your bubble, It's because some real estate podcasters or guru's say that real estate investing is the best and fastest way to wealth.

Please I'm not saying don't invest in real estate, just be careful who and what you are dealing with.

It's the same with the stock market, do you have a 401k? and haven't you seen it go up and down?

But have the guru's told you of what can happen? let's remember we do deal with people, and sometimes they can make our dream a nightmare, let me explain more, see the bullet points.

Just some of the headaches we must deal with:

We rely on payments from them

We hope they maintain the home

We hope when they move out, the house is intact

They don't pay, now the fun part starts- evicting

But I'll mention some of the pluses of investing:

Positive cash flow

Possible appreciation of your property

Someone else is paying down your mortgage

Tax incentives (Check W/Your advisor)

Hiring a handyman to handle the repairs.

Buy at a discount and sell it for a profit.

And like I said before, I don't want to discourage you, it's like anything we do in life, there are risks, as long as you are prepared, and that means having the right professional with you and most of all having the reserves for that rainy day.

I am a proud husband and father of a beautiful baby girl. I am in my late twenties and when I am not building sales funnels and doing digital marketing, I am playing soccer and hanging out with my family.

I first got into Digital Marketing and Sales Funnel when I stumbled across Russell Brunson and the DotCom Secrets book. I was hooked! About Todd:

Growing up in Charlotte, NC, I always had a fascination with how money worked. Why some people had it and others always seemed to struggle with it. My grandmother, who grew up during the Depression, had a huge influence on me. She was constantly saving everything! Half used paper towels, pieces of ripped cloth, and paper…can we talk about the paper! She was a living example of the slogan, “A penny saved is a penny earned.”

I followed in her footsteps for years until I attended college at the University of Florida. It became clear through several small business ventures that in order to make money as an entrepreneur, it typically required money up front to get started. This is where the epiphany started! I began realizing, the more I could save, the more I could invest. And the more I could invest, the more money would work for me; giving me time to pursue other interests.

After graduating cum laude with a degree in finance, I started working for a home builder. Less than a year later, I was laid off due to the Great Recession. During this difficult period of my life, I made a promise to myself that I would work tirelessly; learning to save money, invest, and ultimately be able to live on my terms.

My plan included saving more, working less, and spending time with the people that matter most. And let’s not forget having some unforgettable experiences along the way!
