Mit dem Giruno der SBB reisen wir von Immensee bis Chiasso, an die Schweizerisch-Italienische Grenze. Die Fahrt führt über Arth-Goldau, Röthen, Steinen und Seewen, bevor wir durch den Gotthard-Basistunnel nach Bodio gelangen. Weiter geht es vorbei an der SBB Betriebszentrale Süd, über Bellinzona bis zum Zielbahnhof Chiasso.

Während der gesamten Zugfahrt begleitet uns immer wieder die spektakuläre Schweizer Bergwelt, die diese Route zu einem besonderen Erlebnis macht. Eine eindrucksvolle Reise durch die Alpen, moderne Schweizer Eisenbahntechnik und eine der wichtigsten Nord-Süd-Achsen Europas.

Travel aboard the SBB Giruno from Immensee to Chiasso, located at the Swiss–Italian border. This journey passes through Arth-Goldau, Röthen, Steinen, and Seewen, before entering the Gotthard Base Tunnel. After reaching Bodio, we continue past the SBB Operations Control Center South, travel via Bellinzona, and arrive at the final destination, Chiasso railway station.

Throughout the journey, the route is accompanied by spectacular Alpine scenery, offering breathtaking views of the Swiss mountains. Experience one of Europe’s most important north–south railway corridors, combining cutting-edge railway technology with stunning landscapes.

Nostalgia inception!

Join me for an evening of looking back at the fun I had over the last 12 months. You might not remember some of the stuff I got up to last year, and I certainly don't, but I have an album full of photos to remind me what went on and who did what. Although the names will probably escape me.

It will be a task to get through the last 12 months in one sitting but I am determined and my mind is willing. Let's just see what happens with the body side of things.
