  • Laser cutter not making horrible crunching noises.

    It was a bit neglected. I took out the gantry and cleaned a hundred years of wood resin off many parts, but particularly some off the left hand tube rail that the gantry runs on.

    This morning after the cleaning it was still crunchy in some spots, but after a smear of lithium grease on the rail, it's singing like it's brand new.

  • Dreamos 64: Elf Running, Syscalls, Keyboard Input, and input echo

    Another update for dreamos 64, This now shows dreamos running an external program in userspace that reads input from the keyboard, and print the message back.

    Difference with previous video:

    • The program now prints a message asking for the text
    • It echoes the key just pressed on the keyboard
    • It prints the string just read.
