I've become very much obsessed with modems and using modems lately. Today we're looking at the modem that started that, including a demonstration.
I borrowed one of the TV station's cameras to cover a news story. Lets take a look at it, and at some test footage.
Another HP that could have been a nice computer, but is crippled by netbook-grade hardware and a driver issue that AMD never bothered to fix.
A look at the kind of Ethernet card you might have bought for your 386, 486, or Pentium computer, sealed in the box for over 20 years.
I did not achieve the goal of using this card to get the Epson Apex Plus on the Internet, but I have another card coming that we'll look at in the near future, that will hopefully accomplish that.
My friend Bill's radio, which he's had for over 40 years. 23-channel AM/SSB.
I love console stereos and televisions. These two were in great shape, even if they needed some work, and they were VERY affordable. I couldn't believe the Philips one turned on and started playing right away. I hope to someday have a place where I can have one of these.
A look at another vintage toy that features a lovely vacuum fluorescent display.
I have an ongoing project at work installing eight speakers along the drop ceiling in the hallways. I've never been inside the plenum space above a drop ceiling, and I find it has a sort of neat eerieness about it, so I thought I would share the view.
What you see me do is connect a speaker, and then toss the reel of wire across the ceiling towards the next speaker.
